Founded in 1997, the Oregon Program Evaluators Network (OPEN) is an organization for professionals who are involved with or interested in program evaluation. OPEN allows for the exchange of ideas and information to promote and encourage high-quality evaluation practices. The members of OPEN represent a wide variety of government agencies, non-profits, universities, and private consulting firms.

Michael Quinn Patton is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the evaluation  and has written several books that provide the standards of practice for evaluators.

Patton's latest book, Developmental Evaluation: Applying Complexity Concepts to Enhance Innovation & Use, outlines an approach to monitoring and supporting social innovations.

OPEN wil be hosting the Oregon book release at an afternoon reception during the conference to include refreshments & a book signing. Copies of the book will be available at discounted rate as part of the conference registration process.
